Committee Members

Mattthew Bowman

Matt started playing touch at Rosalie in 1992 and has been involved as a player, coach, referee and committee member since. Matt was elected President in 2011 and is keen to ensure the long term future of Touch at Rosalie with the support of an enthusiastic committee. Matt believes referee and player development and the introduction of a junior program are key initiatives to achieve long term success.

Club President

Kit Frazer

Kit first played touch in Albany in the early 90s and has played at and represented Rosalie since 1995. He is a level 2 coach and level 2 referee but can still be seen occasionally hobbling around the pitch as a player in spite of advancing years. His career highlights include co-coaching the England men’s 30s to victory in the 2008 European cup and coaching the WA men’s 40s at the Nationals in 2011. He is committed to the development of juniors touch at Rosalie.

Vice-President & Junior Touch Football Program

Justine Spencer

Justine has been playing touch since 1998. She is a level 1 referee and coach and has been on the Rosalie Committee since 2011. Whilst playing social touch is her love she has also represented Rosalie and Northern Districts at the State Titles and played for Western Australia in the Open and Senior women’s divisions. Justine sees Touch as the perfect sport to cross age and gender boundaries, whether played for fun and fitness or at an elite level. Her current ambition is to see the development of Junior Touch at Rosalie come to fruition and to build on the proud and successful history of the club at State Level.

Nicole is a Level 1 referee and has represented Rosalie at the State Titles in Mixed, Women’s Open and Women’s Over 27’s since 1994 (with a break whilst in the UK from 1997 – 2000) and has represented WA twice in Women’s Over 27’s (2006) and Women’s Over 35’s (2011).

Representative Touch Football Program Coordinator

Scott Meiklejohn

Scott has been playing touch on and off since 1998 in NZ and London. Since arriving in Perth Scott has called Rosalie home since 2012, joining the committee the same year. His main focus on the committee is assisting in the recruitment and development of referees; he is also a level 1 referee.   In addition to this he also represents Rosalie at The State Titles in the men’s 30’s division whilst also managing this team. Scott enjoys the fun but competitive nature of the competition at Rosalie for social and rep players as well as referees.

Treasurer, Representative Touch & Referees

Wade Croome

Wade has been playing touch at Rosalie for almost 10 years. Recently he has represented Rosalie Touch at the State Titles in 2013 and 2014 in the Mens 30s team. He has been reffing for a number of years and recently gained his level 2 accreditation. He joined the committee in 2013 and hopes to see the club develop junior and youth levels, whilst continuing to focus on the social games that the majority come to play.

Gia-Dene Gardiner

Gee as she is commonly known as is a very experienced touch player, she has represented NZ in her youth and played for Galaxy in London, she started playing at Rosalie in 2011. Her love for the game and commitment to ensuring team culture and value of every player in the team has seen her bring in many players who are now big contributors to Rosalie touch and in turn have helped develop players into great teams and onto State level.  Gee loves the organisation and atmosphere of camaraderie at the Rosalie competition and enjoys the passion for touch that our club has, from the “old timers” through to our youth! Her main focus at Rosalie is developing the junior girls and the open women’s team and sharing her knowledge and passion for touch rugby with others.
