Information about Junior and Youth Touch
Touch Football is an exciting low-contact sport that allows for a mix of ages and gender. Although it is often referred to as “Touch Rugby” and uses a rugby-shaped ball, Touch does not involve any tackling.
Young players will be introduced to a range of skills and take part in modified games. Touch Football is a sport that will develop fitness, agility, speed and co-ordination. No prior experience is necessary.
The Junior Touch Programme caters for children (male and female) in school years 3-6. (Under 10 and Under 12 divisions)
The Youth Touch Programme caters for children (male and female) in school years 7-12.
Training takes place on Thursday evenings at Rosalie from 5pm-6pm and runs from late October to mid-December every year.
Players may also have the opportunity for selection in our representative teams to compete at the State Junior Touch Titles.
The committee welcomes interested volunteers to assist with coaching and refereeing at the Junior level. Rosalie Touch Association is willing to provide training and support to these individuals.
