Semi Finals on 27th of Feb with the Finals on the 5th March.
Please note that as team captain/contact you will be responsible for ensuring that all payments, uniforms and administrative requirements are adhered to.
Your team will need to referee delegated games (approx 8) during the season.
Only sides that can referee other games will be allowed to enter the competition!
We will require a referee from your team and we will pair them with an experienced badged referee.
We prefer teams to have one or two referees to carry out your team ref duties, not 8 people doing a game each.
Good reffing requires people doing it on a regular basis.
For teams that need to educate players to become a qualified referee we will be holding a referee course at the start of the season (date to be notified later)
If you have a player that is going to carry out your teams reffing duties we suggest that all the other team members kick in a bit more money to cover their fees – seems only fair & remember, without a team ref the rest don’t get to play!
Summer 2017/18 - the wrap up
Mixed A: Saw minor premiers Castaways(9) defeat Fire Canal(5) and bring an end to their rein of 3 straight season victories.
Mixed B: Whatever it Takes(11) came from runner up last winter, to go one better by defeating Sealands(7)
Mixed C: Gasbaggers(10) were too strong in the second half and ran over Pink Panthers(7) Gasbaggers have been in 3 straight finals and won the last 2 - not a bad record.
Mixed D: PRC X-Rayters(13) finished 2nd on the ladder but were too strong for Mobile Gaps(8) giving them back to back victories - looks like C grade is calling.
Men's A: Team Nook(9) have played 8 straight finals and have now won 5 of them with a victory over 2 Legit(7)
Men's B: Top of the table Once Were Warriors(9) stopped Warpigs(5) from trying to go back to back.
Men's C: Wannabees(11) who dropped down from B grade were just too strong for Free Hat(4)
Women's: Finding Dory(4) defeated Montrobe(2) This was Dory's 6th finals appearance in a row and they have won 5 of those games.
Mixed A had their Grand Final as we brought it forward a week because a lot of these players are travelling east next week for NTL's
Fire Canal backed up their Winter championship with a 11 to 2 defeat of Montrobe.
Looking back over history Fire Canal have been in 3 Finals and won them all where as Montrobe have been in more Finals (5 of) but unfortunately only had the one championship win.
Men's A grade was won by Team Nook (10) over Flying Scotchmen (4)
Great effort by FS to make the final and even bigger effort by TN who have won the last 3 Summer comps in a row and won the last Winter comp as well - really on top of their game.
Men's B grade was won by Wannabees (11) over a depleated Gropers (5)
Looking back Gropers were last in a final when they were runner up in the Men's A grade Winter of 2012 and Wannabees were runner up last Summer and champs way back in the Summer of 2012-13 - enjoy the win.
Mixed B grade was won by new team Brothers & Sisters (10) over Razcal (7)
Razcal were runner up in the last Winter comp and defending champs from last Summer but there is now a new team on the block.
Women's comp was won by Finding Dory (5) over Montrobe (1)
Well done to Montrobe for making their first final, FD won the last two winter comp's and were runner up in the last Summer comp.
