Rep Touch At Rosalie
Rosalie has a proud history in entering teams at the WA State Championships, with titles coming in a variety of grades throughout the years. Highlights including Rosalie winning the Men’s open in 1998, since that time Rosalie has been successful in producing a number of State Representatives and has won State Championships in Men’s 30s and 40s, Women’s 27s and Mixed.
In recent years Rosalie has won the affiliate of the year (2014 & 2015) for the club that gains the most points across all teams for State Championships, with titles coming in the women’s 27’s (2013) and women’s 35’s (2014 & 2015), with all other teams preforming strongly in what was a great all around club effort.
Rosalie enters the Mixed Open, Men’s 30’s, Men’s 40’s, Women’s 27’s and Women’s 35’s divisions in recent State Championships and is looking to develop sides for the Men’s Open and Women’s Open divisions. Rosalie also enters the Mixed Open division in the Super League Series.
In 2014 Rosalie entered it’s first teams (three) at Junior State Championships and increased that number to four in 2015, which is a great sign for the future of Representative Touch at Rosalie.
Rosalie also regularly has players selected for State teams that compete at Nationals, in 2014 Kit Frazer played Men’s 50’s and in 2015 Chelsey Mullally, Jane Frazer and Nicole Horrocks finished runners-up in the Women’s 40’s division.
In 2016 Rosalie had seven women players selected in the WA team that competed at the Alliance Cup, the included Gia-dene Gardiner, Sally Irwin, Nicole McVicar, Stacey Hendricks, Megan Hume, Monique James and Krystal Taling. Also in 2016, Callum Thomas was the first ever junior player to represent WA at the National Youth Championships. In 2017 Nicole McVicar, Gene Carmichael and Jason Potgieter represented WA in the Mixed Open and Kit Frazer in the over 55’s men at NTL’s.
